Key takeaways

  • Pépites & Papilles Rennes is a new trade show for souvenirs, gifts and the art of living. It is aimed at buyers for tourist and independent shops in the Grand Ouest (western France): souvenir shops, museum and monument shops, tourist offices, concept stores, delicatessens and bookshops.
  • Rennes edition: Sunday 7 February 2027, 9:00 to 18:00, and Monday 8 February 2027, 9:00 to 17:00, at Parc Expo Rennes, hall 10A, 2 La Haie Gautrais in Bruz.
  • Free entry, restricted to trade professionals, by prior registration and subject to validation by the organiser. As of 29 October 2026, visitor registration for Rennes had not yet opened.
  • Organiser: Essentiel, a communications and events agency headquartered in Acigné, east of Rennes. No co-organiser. Frequency not announced: no edition has yet taken place.
  • The show comes in two separate legs. The first, Pépites & Papilles Bordeaux, takes place on 10 and 11 January 2027 at Hangar 14; Rennes follows four weeks later, with the same concept and the same pricing conditions. This listing covers Rennes only.
  • Format announced by the organiser for each edition: 80 exhibitors, 2,000 trade visitors, 3,000 m² of exhibition space, 8 workshops and an afterwork evening. These are targets, not a results report.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The show organises its offer into five universes, identified by a colour code on the floor plan and on each stand's sign:

  • Destination & Souvenirs: souvenirs, non-food regional products, destination items, local creations, personalised objects.
  • Saveurs & Papilles: gourmet gifts, regional delicatessen, long-life sweet and savoury products, tasting boxes.
  • Art de vivre & Décoration: home decor and lifestyle, household linen, scents and candles, design objects, handcrafted creations.
  • Mode & Accessoires: clothing, designer jewellery, small leather goods, glasses, hats and accessories.
  • Cadeaux & Concepts: stationery and illustration, games and toys, design gadgets, trend objects, seasonal products.

The target exhibitor is a brand, maker, producer or gift specialist looking to widen its distribution network in Brittany, Normandy and the Pays de la Loire. The organiser sums up the Rennes argument as "Une couverture de l'ensemble du Grand Ouest" (coverage of the whole Grand Ouest). The format is deliberately limited: a human-scale show, for which the organiser announces only 80 exhibitors as a target.

Notable exhibitors

No exhibitor has yet been announced for Rennes. The Rennes exhibitors page is open and tied to the 7 and 8 February 2027 edition, but on 29 October 2026 it states that sales are under way and that the list will be revealed shortly. The Rennes booking page says for its part that the show floor plan is being prepared and that bookings are not yet open: only the presentation pack can be downloaded.

Visitor quality

The target is the buyer sourcing products for a point of sale: souvenir shops, museum and monument shops, tourist offices, seaside resort shops, independent retailers, concept stores, leisure parks, zoos and aquariums, tourist accommodation such as campsites and holiday villages, delicatessens, garden centres, bookshops, and regional distributors and wholesalers.

Entry is filtered: registration is validated by the organiser, a selection presented as the guarantee of a qualified trade audience. The catchment area covers three regions, Brittany, Normandy and the Pays de la Loire, which the organiser credits with 37 million tourists combined, citing Insee and Tourisme Bretagne. The 2,000 trade visitors announced for each event remain a target to be checked against the figures published after the show.

Programme & community

Conference programme

There is no conference series: the show highlights a workshop area, announced across both days. Four themes are listed: communication and social media, merchandising and customer experience, trends and inspiration, digital and sales development. The presentation pack provides for eight practical workshops per edition. On 29 October 2026, the programme page stated that the programme was under construction.

Exhibitor hospitality

The organiser announces a permanent break area during set-up, a welcome coffee served on the stands every morning, a VIP area open throughout the show and an afterwork evening on the first day, Sunday 7 February, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Community & networks

Rennes is the organiser's home ground: Essentiel, based in Acigné with a secondary office in Caen, already runs other trade shows in western France, including IODE, devoted to tourism, hospitality and outdoor leisure in the Grand Ouest, and Entreprendre dans l'Ouest, listed in the Parc Expo Rennes calendar on 2 and 3 November 2026. The show is present on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

On the press side, a dedicated area lets journalists request visuals, filming and media partnerships; no press release or media partner was published there on 29 October 2026.

On site: what you need to know

The show occupies hall 10A of Parc Expo Rennes, located in Bruz, in the Rennes conurbation. By car, take exit 8 "Porte de Saint-Nazaire" from the Rennes ring road; paid car parks on site. Rennes Bretagne airport is five minutes away by car.

By bus, one detail matters for an edition falling on a Sunday and a Monday: line 13 serves the Parc Expo stop from Monday to Saturday, and line C7 takes over on Sunday. According to Parc Expo, the C7 runs every hour in the morning and every 35 minutes in the afternoon, connecting with metro line b at Saint-Jacques - Gaîté. On Monday, line 13 connects with both metro lines.

Opening hours: Sunday 7 February 2027, 9:00 to 18:00, and Monday 8 February 2027, 9:00 to 17:00. Visitor registration will be done on the official website's registration page, which says that registration for Rennes will open soon.

How much it costs to exhibit

The organiser publishes its price list in the 2027 presentation pack, with identical conditions in Bordeaux and Rennes: an equipped stand at €170 excl. VAT per m² from 6 m², €155 excl. VAT per m² above 36 m². A 6 m² stand therefore costs €1,160 excl. VAT, registration fee included. The sponsorship offer waives the registration fee for both sponsor and sponsored exhibitor, a €140 discount each. The duo offer grants 20% off the per-m² price of the second edition booked, applied to the cheaper of the two participations.

The first two rows reflect the official 2027 price list published in the presentation pack (the 9 m² row is a calculation from the published per-m² price, registration fee of €140 excl. VAT included). The following rows are indicative orders of magnitude for an exhibitor from the Grand Ouest: they are not the organiser's rates.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Equipped 6 m² stand, registration fee included (official rate)€1,160 excl. VAT€1,160 excl. VAT
Equipped 9 m² stand, registration fee included (calculated on the official price list)€1,670 excl. VAT€1,670 excl. VAT
Transport of collections and point-of-sale material (indicative)€150€800
Accommodation and meals, 2 people, 2 nights (indicative)€400€1,000
Catalogues, samples and order-taking materials (indicative)€100€600
INDICATIVE TOTAL, 6 m² stand~€1,800~€3,600
INDICATIVE TOTAL, 9 m² stand~€2,300~€4,100

For a manufacturer from Brittany or the Pays de la Loire, travel weighs little and the stand remains the biggest item in the budget. The duo offer changes the calculation for anyone also exhibiting in Bordeaux a month earlier: the discount applies to the per-m² price of the cheaper participation.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Download the presentation pack and make contact via the Rennes page's contact form: bookings are not yet open and the stand location will be chosen on an interactive plan announced as being prepared.
  • Decide early between Rennes alone and the duo offer with Bordeaux, where bookings are already open.
  • Prepare first-order terms: buyers are expected to source new products and differentiating items.
  • Use the communication tools provided to exhibitors (visuals, email signatures, invitations) to bring your own customers from the Grand Ouest.

For decision-maker visitors

  • Register as soon as the Rennes form opens: entry is free but subject to validation.
  • Check the Rennes exhibitors page once it is published, to plan your route by universe.
  • Come on Sunday to enjoy the afterwork (18:00 to 20:00), with workshops announced across both days, and check the C7 bus timetable; on Monday, line 13 takes over.

CSR policy & initiatives

The show's website publishes no page on sustainability, nor a carbon footprint or ISO 20121 certification for the event.

The documented commitment is the organiser's. On its Commitments page, the Essentiel agency states that it has been engaged in a CSR approach since 2008: local suppliers, waste sorting and a composter at the agency, optimised travel using public transport and car-sharing, recycled materials and labelled paper, skills-based sponsorship since 2015. It also claims expertise in responsible communication based on eco-design of materials.

As for the venue, the Parc Expo Rennes website presents no published environmental approach or certification. The promotion of regional products and local creations is part of the show's commercial positioning, not a quantified commitment.

Trajectory analysis

There is no trajectory yet: no edition has taken place, and the Bordeaux leg opens the series a month before Rennes. The Rennes bet is that of a local show for shops in the Grand Ouest, run by an agency based in Acigné, on the doorstep of Rennes.

Three choices deserve attention. First, the calendar: a Sunday and a Monday in early February, well before the tourist season. Then the size: 80 exhibitors announced, a deliberately limited format. Finally, the network: Rennes complements Bordeaux to cover the whole of western France, with a duo offer that pushes exhibitors to do both.

The first real figures, validated visitors and exhibitors present, will only be known after 8 February 2027. No second Rennes edition had been announced at the time of writing.
