Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key facts

  • Tech for Retail presents itself as “the European retail trade show”: two days devoted to technologies and services for retailers and brands, from supply chain to customer loyalty.
  • Next edition, the sixth (“Season #6” on the official website): Monday 30 November to Tuesday 1 December 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 7.2. Open 9:00 am to 6:30 pm on Monday and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesday.
  • Organiser: TFR Events. The trade show was founded in 2021 by Karen Serfaty and Pascal Clouzard; TFR Events joined the Easyfairs group in April 2026, with the team led by Karen Serfaty remaining in place. It has been held annually since its first edition on 30 November and 1 December 2021, around the end of November.
  • Targets announced for 2026: more than 15,000 visitors, 420 exhibitors and more than 200 conference sessions. In 2025, the trade press relayed by the organiser reported more than 415 exhibitors, including nearly 90 startups, and about 13,000 visitors.
  • Access is restricted to professionals. The badge is free for retailers after verification, and paid for service or software providers and other non-retail activities.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer is organised into fourteen solution families: IT, in-store and checkout solutions, consulting, CRM and customer service, e-commerce and omnichannel, property management, merchandise and trade, marketing and communication, payment methods, new technologies and AI, human resources, CSR and circular economy, supply chain and logistics, financial systems.

Exhibitors are therefore suppliers: software vendors, integrators, consulting firms, payment players, specialists in electronic shelf labels or logistics, and a large share of young companies. The organiser announces more than 75 startups for 2026.

Notable exhibitors

The home page of the 2026 edition highlights its partner exhibitors by tier. Platinum: Accenture, Shopify and Vusion. Gold: Adyen, Contentful, Hanshow, Klaviyo, Stripe and ZKONG. Sixteen silver partners complete the list, including Adobe, Amazon Ads, dunnhumby, Lectra, Mollie, SAP France and Sopra Steria.

The full list is available on the 2026 Exhibitors page of the official website.

Visitor quality

The trade show targets retail decision-makers: the themed guided tours (retail, luxury, beauty) give an idea of the sectors represented. The organiser publishes the following breakdown of its visitors, without specifying which edition it relates to: 22% CEOs and co-founders, 12% C-level, 23% directors, 24% managers, the rest being split between consultants and other profiles. It also states that 92% of exhibitors wish to return, with no year given and no third-party audit.

The badge model says a lot about the positioning: entry is free for retail professionals, and paid for service or software providers and other non-retail activities. Students are not admitted.

No OJS attendance certification is published. The figures available come from the organiser and the trade press.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The 2026 programme is still being published on the website. The opening keynote is given by Alexandre Bompard, CEO of Carrefour, on Monday 30 November at 9:20 am on the Main Stage. Other announced speakers include Delphine Viguier-Hovasse (L’Oréal), Bernard Osta (Vestiaire Collective), Mikko Kärkkäinen (RELEX Solutions), Michelle Lamberti (Adeo), Sylvain Munnier (LEGO), Nadine Graf (The Estée Lauder Companies) and Franck Le Moal (LVMH).

The 2026 themes, defined with the trade show’s Advisory Board, largely revolve around agentic AI: head office functions, purchasing, marketing, supply chain, warehouses, commerce via conversational assistants. They are joined by retail media, second-hand, luxury, regulation and unified commerce. Conferences are split between the Main Stage and rooms dedicated to partner conferences, where an exhibitor presents a customer case with a retailer.

Guided tours and awards

Themed guided tours of about one hour introduce visitors to five companies around a single topic. They are reserved for retailers, limited to one per person and subject to approval by the organisers. The departures published for 2026 carry the mention “by Accenture”. Private tours are also offered to groups of at least seven people from the same retail company.

Four awards were presented in 2025: the INNOVATION AWARD, the STARTUP AWARD, the AI AWARD and the CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AWARD; the website does not yet detail those of the 2026 edition. In 2025, the Innovation Award went to Albatross and the Startup Award to Neuralk, with a jury’s favourite for Gimii. Previous Innovation Award winners include AutoStore (2022), Shopopop (2023) and Revers.io (2024).

Community & networks

The trade show relies on a network of institutional partners: Alliance du Commerce, Procos, FCA (Fédération du Commerce Coopératif et Associé), France Digitale, Alliance Digitale, Bpifrance, La Retail Tech, as well as foreign federations such as Spain’s AECOC, Handelsverband and Swiss Retail Federation.

On the press side, around forty media partners are listed, including Linéaires, Points de Vente, FashionNetwork, FashionUnited, Stratégies, Maddyness, Journal du Net and L’Officiel de la Franchise.

Tech for Retail and the other retail events

Tech for Retail differs from the other retail events listed on Agoris in its organiser, its calendar and its format. NRF Retail’s Big Show Europe, successor to Paris Retail Week, is organised by Comexposium with the American NRF and takes place in September. One to One Retail E-Commerce, also run by Comexposium, is an invitation-only business meetings format, held in Monaco in March. SHOP! Le Salon, devoted to point-of-sale marketing and store fitting, takes place in March 2027 in the same exhibition centre with a different organiser. Tech for Retail holds a different place: a trade show created in 2021 by Karen Serfaty and Pascal Clouzard, held at the end of November, combining an exhibitor hall with a programme of keynotes from retail chief executives.

The most direct link lies elsewhere: Food Hotel Tech, the tech and CSR trade show for hospitality and catering, was founded by the same team. Both trade shows were bought together by Easyfairs in April 2026, with the team led by Karen Serfaty remaining in charge.

On site: what you need to know

The trade show occupies Hall 7.2 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, 1 place de la Porte de Versailles, Paris 15th arrondissement.

By public transport: metro line 12, Porte de Versailles station, exit 1 for pavilions 2 to 7; trams T2 and T3a, Porte de Versailles, Parc des Expositions stop; buses 80 and 39. By car, car parks 1, 6 and 7 of the exhibition centre serve the site. From Roissy airport, the RER B to Cité Universitaire and then the T3 tram towards Pont du Garigliano is one option.

Opening hours: Monday 30 November 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Tuesday 1 December 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The visitor badge is requested online on the official website; the free badge is only granted after verification of the applicant’s retail activity. The paid badge is neither refundable nor exchangeable. The website states a badge value of €440 incl. VAT, offered to retailers; this value only appears on the partner pages, and the website does not give a price for the paid badge for suppliers.

How much does it cost to exhibit?

TFR Events does not publish any exhibitor price list online: offers are requested from the trade show’s sales team. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a two-day B2B trade show of this format in Paris. They are in no way the official Tech for Retail prices.

Startups often have access to more compact space formats at this type of trade show: check with the organiser. Partner conferences, where an exhibitor presents a customer case with a retailer, take up a significant part of the programme: ask the organiser for their cost.

Planning your visit

For exhibitors

  • Come with a retailer customer case: the programme gives a large place to partner conferences where a supplier presents a project carried out with a retailer.
  • Ask the organiser about taking part in a themed guided tour, which introduces five companies to groups of retailers.
  • Ask the organiser about the awards, whose 2026 terms have not been published.
  • Plan meetings in advance: the trade show’s platform lets free badge holders book slots with exhibitors.

For decision-maker visitors

  • Request your badge early: the free badge is only granted after verification of retailer status.
  • Sign up for a guided tour as soon as bookings open, as places are limited.
  • Build your route around the trade show’s fourteen solution families rather than wandering the hall at random.
  • Plan for both days if the aim is to follow both the Main Stage keynotes and the partner conferences.

CSR policy & initiatives

The trade show addresses the subject through its content: one solution family is devoted to CSR and the circular economy, and the 2026 themes cover second-hand, store energy efficiency and regulation, including the CSRD. However, the website publishes neither a commitments page specific to the trade show, nor a carbon footprint, nor ISO 20121 certification of the event.

The group framework has been documented since the acquisition: Easyfairs is a signatory of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, which commits it to reaching carbon neutrality by 2050 and halving its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, with a roadmap covering its events and venues.

The venue provides a verifiable framework: Viparis, operator of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, is ISO 20121 certified on its Paris sites and committed to its Better Events approach through 2030.

Trajectory analysis

Growth is rapid. More than 8,000 visitors in 2022, a target of 9,000 and more than 300 exhibitors announced in 2023, about 13,000 visitors and more than 415 exhibitors in 2025: reported attendance has grown by about 60% in three editions. The 2026 target of more than 15,000 visitors and 420 exhibitors extends the trend, but remains a target as long as no final report is published.

Two caveats. First, none of these figures is audited, and those for 2025 relayed after the trade show repeat exactly the target announced beforehand. Second, from more than 415 exhibitors in 2025 to 420 announced for 2026, the target is stable.

The acquisition by Easyfairs in April 2026 opens a new phase. According to the group’s press release, Karen Serfaty expects a broader French audience and more international participants for exhibitors. The 2026 edition takes place in Hall 7.2, whereas the 2022 to 2024 editions occupied Hall 4 (the 2025 hall is not published). The dates of the 2027 edition have not been announced to date.
