Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key takeaways

  • Euroviti is the annual viticulture and oenology colloquium organised by the Institut Français de la Vigne et du Vin (IFV), through its Pôle Val de Loire Centre. It is a scientific and technical gathering, not a trade show with stands.
  • The colloquium is held every January as part of the SIVAL trade show, at the Parc des Expositions d'Angers. The next occurrence is expected at SIVAL 2027, from 12 to 14 January 2027.
  • Short format (one morning): the 2026 edition was held in the Salle Maine from 9.45 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., on the theme "Intra-varietal diversity in viticulture".
  • Each edition addresses a single technical theme: intra-varietal diversity (2026), wines with no added sulphites (2025), integrated soil management (2024), resistant varieties (2022), vineyard decline and trunk diseases (2020).
  • The proceedings of the main Euroviti editions since 2009 are available to download as PDFs on the IFV website.

Activities & community

Conference programme

Euroviti is a thematic colloquium: each edition is built around a single technical subject, addressed over a morning of scientific presentations. The IFV mobilises its researchers and its research partners (notably INRAE) to share the most recent work with professionals across the sector.

Themes of recent editions: "Intra-varietal diversity in viticulture" (2026), "Wines with no added sulphites: how to make them?" (2025), "Integrated soil management in viticulture" (2024), "Resistant varieties, from creation to consumer" (2022), "Vineyard decline and trunk diseases" (2020). The theme of the 2027 edition will be published as SIVAL approaches (source: vignevin.com).

The proceedings of the main editions are put online as PDFs after each edition on vignevin.com.

Community and networks

Euroviti is aimed at winegrowers, oenologists, cellar technicians, advisers and operators across the vine and wine sector. The colloquium is part of the vine and wine cluster of SIVAL, the trade show for specialised plant production that brings together each year in Angers the viticulture, arboriculture, market gardening, horticulture and seed sectors.

Planning your visit

For the professional

  • Check the theme and programme of the upcoming edition on vignevin.com/conferences/euroviti, published a few weeks before SIVAL.
  • Plan the morning of the colloquium within your SIVAL visiting schedule: the short format (one morning) combines with a tour of the exhibition aisles in the afternoon.
  • To explore a past theme in more depth, download the proceedings of the available editions before your visit on vignevin.com.

How the trade show has evolved

Euroviti is one of the oldest technical colloquia of the vine and wine sector in France: its proceedings have been documented since 2009 and it already existed under the aegis of ITV France (which became the IFV). Historically attached to SITEVI in Montpellier, the colloquium is today an annual fixture of SIVAL in Angers, organised by the Pôle Val de Loire Centre of the IFV. Each edition is devoted to a topical technical theme for the sector (varietal diversity, inputs, trunk diseases, soils, winemaking), making it a barometer of the scientific concerns of the moment rather than a commercial trade show. The theme and programme of the 2027 edition will be published as SIVAL approaches, from 12 to 14 January 2027.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (vignevin.com).
