Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offering is split into broad families that follow the production cycle: vineyard work; harvest and winemaking; cellar and oenology; packaging and logistics; services, training and employment. Exhibitors include makers of vineyard machinery, suppliers of stoppers, labels and packaging lines, analytical laboratories, builders of farm buildings, management software publishers, insurers and suppliers of biosolutions.

The trade show puts proximity forward. The organiser states that 80% of exhibitors are local and national companies, and that 30% are taking part for the first time. The exhibitor testimonial featured on the homepage, from Tonnellerie Condachou, sums up the positioning: a human-scale trade show where you meet your customers from the region and take the time to talk with prospects.

Notable exhibitors

The official exhibitor list currently shows the exhibitors of the 2025 edition, under the heading "They exhibited in 2025". The 2027 list has not yet been published.

Exhibitors in 2025 included the Italian manufacturer Antonio Carraro, the analytical instrumentation specialist Anton Paar, Bucher Vaslin (represented by Claas Réseau Agricole), the software publisher Baqio, Gültig stoppers, the packaging-line manufacturer Bedi, the labelling specialist Ametis and the agroecology innovation hub AgrOnov.

Visitor quality

The visitors are mainly people from wine estates: the organiser states that 86% of visitors play a role in the purchasing process and that 77% work in the wine-growing profession. It also claims strong loyalty, with 90% of visitors said to return every year. These percentages are not tied to a specific edition and are not backed by any published third-party audit.

The published geographical breakdown confirms the local anchoring: Burgundy comes first, ahead of Beaujolais, the Jura and Savoie. For a national supplier, this is direct access to the estates of this region, in a more compact format than the major national trade shows for the sector.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The 2025 edition featured 48 conferences. Regulatory topics had their place: on 1 April 2025, the INAO led a conference on opening AOC specifications to experimentation, linked to the area dedicated to varietal creation. For 2027, the website announces a cycle of conferences and product and service demonstrations, as well as a highlight entitled "Artificial Intelligence at the service of the wine industry". The detailed programme had not been published at the time of writing.

Themed areas

Two themed areas structured the 2025 edition. The Vigne & Climat (Vine & Climate) area, supported by AgrOnov, covered adaptation to climate change, water management and water stress, and protection against climate hazards. The varietal creation area offered a playful trail built around a casino game, an olfactory workshop and a tasting of wines made from resistant grape varieties.

Ahead of the 2025 trade show, a hackathon on artificial intelligence was held on 11 and 12 March 2025 at the École Nationale des Arts et Métiers in Cluny. Four projects came out of it and were presented in a dedicated area of the trade show; the winner is Oeno'Bot, an oenologist assistant that makes recommendations based on laboratory analyses. The website does not yet say whether these areas will return in 2027.

Community & networks

The partners shown on the website are the Velletaz group (vine nurseries), VMD (packaging machines and lines), Vineview and Netafim.

On the press side, the trade show relies on the regional farming press (L'Ain agricole, Agri 71, L'Info agri du Rhône, Terres des Savoie) and on specialist wine and vine titles, including Vitisphère, La Vigne, Viti and VitisBio.

At national level, the major rendezvous for wine-growing equipment remain Vinitech-Sifel in Bordeaux and SITEVI in Montpellier. VinEquip does not compete on that ground: it is a regional trade show, designed for estates in Burgundy, Beaujolais, the Jura and Savoie.

On site: what you need to know

The trade show takes place at the Parc des Expositions de Mâcon, on Avenue Pierre Bérégovoy. In 2025, stands were spread across several halls and an outdoor area, where machinery manufacturers in particular exhibited.

By car, the site is served by the A6, A40 and A39 motorways and by the RCEA; the organiser gives 45 minutes from Lyon and 2h50 from Paris. By train, Mâcon Ville station is 5 minutes away and Mâcon-Loché TGV station, linked to Paris in 1h40, is 15 minutes away. A free shuttle, with no booking required, links both stations to the exhibition centre. The local Tréma bus network also serves the site via line A. By air, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport is one hour away by road and Geneva airport 1h15.

2027 opening hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 March, 9:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday 25 March. For accommodation, the website refers visitors to the Mâcon tourist office.

How much does it cost to exhibit?

The organiser offers three formulas, bare stand, semi-equipped or equipped, but publishes no price list: the participation request is made online on the exhibitor registration area.

GL events Exhibitions Industrie does not publish any price list for VinEquip 2027. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a three-day regional professional trade show. They are in no way the trade show's official rates.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Equipped stand of 9 to 18 m² (space rental and basic fit-out)€1,500€5,000
Additional fit-out, signage, electricity€500€3,000

On-site staff, accommodation and catering (3 days)€1,000€4,000
INDICATIVE TOTAL (3 days)~€3,300~€15,000

For a machinery manufacturer, the outdoor space and the transport of the machines weigh more heavily than the stand itself. Actual rates to be requested from the organiser.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Submit your participation request early: the trade show renews a significant share of its exhibitors every year, with 67 new ones in 2025.
  • Choose between hall and outdoor area according to the equipment you are showing: in 2025, machines were exhibited outdoors.
  • Aim for a conference slot or a presence in a themed area, which concentrate visitors' attention.
  • Mobilise your customers in Burgundy, Beaujolais, the Jura and Savoie: the visitors come first and foremost from the region.

For visitors

  • Create your free badge online from 8 December 2026.
  • Use the free shuttle from Mâcon Ville and Mâcon-Loché stations.
  • Check the exhibitor list and the conference programme as soon as they are published to plan your route.
  • Bear in mind the shorter hours on Thursday, closing at 5:00pm.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The trade show's content gives considerable space to the industry's transition: adaptation to climate change, water management, biosolutions, selection of resistant grape varieties, partnership with the agroecology innovation hub AgrOnov. These are programme themes, not a commitment by the event itself.

The VinEquip website publishes no CSR page, no carbon footprint assessment and no ISO 20121 certification specific to the trade show. At the level of the organising group, GL events has a sustainability charter built around three acts and nine commitments, and states that in 2024, 44% of the Group's entities were ISO certified, mainly ISO 20121. None of the sources consulted says whether the subsidiary that organises VinEquip, or the Mâcon exhibition centre, is among the certified entities.

Trajectory analysis

Launched in 2022 in a region that, according to the organiser, had no equivalent event, VinEquip has held four editions in four years, after two years of postponement linked to the health crisis. The organiser published 270 exhibitors and 3,055 visitors for 2022, 300 exhibitors and 3,578 visitors for 2023, then 300 exhibitors and 3,600 visitors for 2024. The published attendance has, however, fallen between 2024 and 2025, from 3,600 to 2,760 visitors, with a stable number of exhibitors.

The 2026 pause and the return in March 2027 interrupt the annual rhythm observed from 2022 to 2025. The organiser has not announced any rhythm for the future. For an exhibitor, the two-year gap between the 2025 and 2027 editions raises the stakes of the latter: the trade show did not take place in 2026.
