Key takeaways
- The Salon Alpin de l'Hôtellerie et des Métiers de Bouche is the trade meeting point for cafés, hotels and restaurants of the Alpine corridor: four days in Albertville, in Savoie, for professionals in hospitality, catering, food trades, mass retail and local authorities.
- Next edition: the 20th, from Monday 9 to Thursday 12 November 2026, at the Halle Olympique d'Albertville.
- Organiser: Savoiexpo, a not-for-profit association (loi 1901) that runs the Chambéry events complex and organises the Foire de Savoie. The trade show is held outside its walls, in Albertville, 35 minutes' drive from Chambéry: the organiser presents it as “the business summit at the foot of the ski resorts”.
- Annual rhythm since 2021. The trade show was previously biennial, held in odd-numbered years (2011 to 2019).
- Trade-only show: free entry with a badge for trade visitors, €30 for the general public.
- Latest published figure: 14,000 entries in 2025. For 2026, the organiser announces 200 exhibitors and 15,000 professionals.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The offer is divided into four areas: fittings, decoration and furniture (furnishings, architecture, tableware, bedding, pergolas, blinds); equipment and consumables (kitchens, cash registers, bars, IT, hygiene, vehicles); food products (drinks, butchery, bakery, pastry, delicatessen, cheeses, fresh and regional produce, fast food, frozen food); and services (communication, consulting, transport, environment, training).
The trade show is strongly rooted in its region. In the published 2026 list, around half of the companies have their address in Savoie or Haute-Savoie: breweries, distilleries, cured-meat producers, wine cellars, coffee roasters, equipment makers and cash-register resellers from the region sit alongside national distributors and brands.
Notable exhibitors
The 2026 exhibitor list is online and already has more than 150 entries spread across Hall 1, Hall 2 and Hall A. It includes the kitchen equipment makers Rational France and Unox, Chomette and Lusini for furniture, crockery and tableware, the distributors Sysco France, Groupe Pomona and France Boissons, the drinks brands Lavazza France, Monin, Moët Hennessy France and Chartreuse Diffusion, Vandemoortele for bakery and pastry, Gillardeau for shellfish, STEF Transport Alpes for transport, and L'Addition for cash registers.
On the Savoie producers' side: Cafés Folliet, the Distillerie Saint Gervais, the Salaisons du Cayon, the Cave de Cruet, the Domaine Grisard, the Brasserie des Cimes and the Brasserie de Chanaz.
Quality of the audience
The organiser targets professionals in the CHR sectors (cafés, hotels, restaurants), food trades, mass retail and local authorities, and describes its audience as the decision-makers of the region's businesses. Access is by badge: professionals register online free of charge, while a visitor without an invitation and without a professional activity linked to the show pays €30.
The calendar is partly explained by the season: in early November, as winter approaches, hospitality businesses in the ski resorts recruit their seasonal staff, as the trade show's announcements point out. The trade show has, in fact, announced a job dating event dedicated to hospitality and catering seasonal workers several years running (see below).
The only attendance figure published is the one for 2025: 14,000 entries. These are entries, not unique visitors, and no third-party audit of the OJS type is published.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The trade show does not publish a conference programme: its highlights are a demonstration exhibition and competitions.
The 2026 exhibition is titled “Black Mountain: the exceptional hotel of tomorrow”. Designed by Alpine Bâtiment with the interior architecture agency Eroz, it is a temporary 100 m² luxury hotel, announced in Hall 2: lobby, suite, corridor, restaurant and bar, with light as the common thread. The visit is in small guided groups, by registration. The announced tour includes: ambient lighting, ultraviolet disinfection, safety signage built into the décor, and spotlights driven by artificial intelligence to showcase dishes. The trade show had already presented, for the 2024 edition, a showroom called “Révélations 2024-2030”, created by the Club Chic in partnership with Savoiexpo, which staged five fitting-out concepts for hospitality, catering and mountain tourism.
Demonstrations and competitions
The culinary competitions are held in rotation. In 2026, two pastry competitions are on the programme:
- Sensibilité Gourmande, on Monday 9 November, organised by the association of the same name: six pastry professionals, working in a shop or in restaurants, produce 8 pre-desserts and 8 restaurant desserts in 3 hours on the theme “an autumn in Savoie”, in front of a jury chaired by a two-Michelin-star chef. Announced prize money: €800, €400 and €100 for the top three.
- Pralinicimes, on Tuesday 10 November, reserved for apprentice bakers (CAP, CS, BP) under contract with a training centre in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes: in 6 hours, revisited praline brioches, Saint-Genix praline brioches and a leavened and display dough showpiece at least 60 cm high, on the theme “Aim high”.
The trade show's two other competitions will return in November 2027: the Défi Alpin de la Pizza, whose 2nd edition was held in 2025 and which automatically qualifies its top five for the final of the French Pizza Championship, and the Challenge culinaire, launched in 2023, in which professional cooks paired with apprentices from the CFA Le Fontanil prepare a main course and a dessert from set Savoie ingredients.
Community & networks
The trade show is supported by the Savoie prefecture, the Département de la Savoie, the CCI Savoie, the Chambre de métiers et de l'artisanat de la Savoie and the Chambre d'agriculture Savoie Mont-Blanc. The logo of Unimev, the federation of event professions, also appears among the listed partners. Media partners: La Vie Nouvelle and Savoie News.
The trade show also serves as a recruitment platform. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, it announced a job dating event dedicated to hospitality and catering, with Pôle emploi, now France Travail, and regional employment stakeholders: more than 60 companies in 2022, more than 35 in 2023 and 30 in 2024, according to the announcements published before each edition. The website does not currently announce a job dating event for 2026.
For a mountain supplier, the Salon Alpin differs from Mountain Planet, the mountain development trade show at Alpexpo Grenoble, whose next edition is announced for 11 to 13 April 2028: one is aimed at hotels, restaurants and food retailers, the other at mountain development. Among regional food trades and hospitality trade shows, Serbotel, held every two years in Nantes, will hold its next edition from 17 to 20 October 2027.
On site: what you need to know
The trade show occupies the Halle Olympique d'Albertville, 110 avenue Joseph Fontanet, a facility of the Arlysère agglomeration community. Stands are spread across Hall 1, Hall 2 and Hall A.
2026 opening hours: 9am to 7pm from Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 November, 9am to 6pm on Thursday 12 November. Wednesday 11 November is a public holiday: the trade show stays open at the usual hours.
By car: A430, exit 28 (N90), then follow the “Parc Olympique” signs. The P4 and “Visiteurs” visitor car parks are free; car parks P1 to P3 are reserved for exhibitors, with P1 taking refrigerated lorries. By train: Albertville station. By air: Chambéry 40 minutes away, Annecy 1 hour, Grenoble and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry 1.5 hours, Geneva 2 hours.
How much does it cost to exhibit
Savoiexpo does not publish a price list online: stand requests go through the sales team's contact form. The organiser also offers a visibility pack, to appear on the event's official materials, without publishing its price.
On the admission application, the exhibitor chooses their activity classification: it determines how they are listed in the website's exhibitor list and on the guide map. Additional orders (stand storage room, electricity, invitation cards) are set out in the exhibitor guide, announced as coming soon.
Preparing your visit
For exhibitors
- Choose your classification carefully in the admission application: it is what makes the company appear in the online list's filters.
- Download the 2026 communication kit (web visuals and ready-to-publish text) to announce your presence.
- Watch for the exhibitor guide and the technical book going online, announced as forthcoming.
- For fresh produce, reserve a pass for car park P1, dedicated to refrigerated lorries.
For decision-maker visitors
- Register online to get your badge: free for professionals, it saves queuing at the entrance. Holders of an invitation card enter the code printed on the back.
- Book your guided tour of Black Mountain: it is in small groups, by registration.
- Plan your visit around the competitions if pastry matters to you: Sensibilité Gourmande on Monday 9 November, Pralinicimes on Tuesday 10.
- Bear in mind the earlier closing on Thursday 12 November, at 6pm; visitor parking is free.
Sustainability policy & initiatives
Savoiexpo displays the ISO 20121:2012 certification, a responsible management system applied to event activity, awarded by Bureau Veritas as part of its “SAVOIEXPO S'ENGAGE” project. Until autumn 2025 at least, the trade show's website still said it was “on the way to ISO 20121 certification”; the site's news list nevertheless dates an article “Savoiexpo obtient la certification ISO 20121” to September 2024, without the trade show's pages giving the date of certification. The trade show's L'évènement page attributes it to Savoiexpo as organiser of the Foire de Savoie, and the “Un évènement responsable” page to Savoiexpo without further detail, and neither says whether its scope explicitly covers the Salon Alpin, held outside the Chambéry exhibition centre.
At the trade show itself, the organiser details concrete measures: sorting bins across the whole site, cigarette-butt collection, recovery of food goods by local associations helping people in need, and recycling of food waste and used cooking oil.
On accessibility, wheelchairs are lent free of charge in partnership with APAMP. The venue provides secure bicycle racks and an electric-bike charging point on its forecourt. No carbon footprint assessment of the event is published.

Trajectory analysis
The Salon Alpin changed rhythm as the health crisis ended. Biennial from 2011 to 2019 at least, it was held in odd-numbered years (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019), over four days including a weekend for all the editions whose dates are published here. The website was already announcing a 2020 edition in the summer of 2020; since 2021, the trade show has returned every year, from Monday to Thursday, a tighter calendar built around buyers' working days.
This move to an annual format has made it possible to establish a rotating programme: pizza competition and culinary challenge in odd-numbered years, pastry competitions in 2026, and, in 2024 then in 2026, a showcase exhibition on hospitality (the “Révélations 2024-2030” showroom, then “Black Mountain”). It has also made the trade show an established meeting point for seasonal recruitment.
Attendance remains poorly documented: a single figure, 14,000 entries in 2025, and a target of 15,000 professionals for 2026. With around 200 exhibitors announced, the trade show remains regional in scale, and that is its strength: in four days, a buyer from a ski resort finds close to home most of their local suppliers and the major national brands.
