France is one of the world's leading powers in the defence and security industry. Its calendar is structured around Eurosatory for land defence, Milipol for homeland security and FIC for cybersecurity.
The flagship trade shows in France
Eurosatory (Paris, every two years in June, GICAT) is the world's leading trade show for land defence and security, with more than 2,000 exhibitors and 76,000 participants. Next edition: 15-19 June 2026.
Milipol Paris (Paris, every two years, under the aegis of the Ministry of the Interior/CIVIPOL) welcomed 1,171 exhibitors and 32,000 visitors in 2025. 2025 theme: "Homeland security and artificial intelligence".
FIC (Forum International de la Cybersécurité, Lille, annually in January) brings together more than 15,000 participants, 600 exhibitors and 400 speakers on digital security.
The major European trade shows
DSEI (London, every two years) covers all military domains. Euronaval (Paris, every two years, GICAN) specialises in naval defence. IDEX (Abu Dhabi) is the strategic gathering for exports to the Middle East.
Beyond the trade shows
Strategic conferences (IHEDN, Cyberdefense forum) play an essential complementary role in a sector where purchasing decisions are influenced by institutional networks.
