Key takeaways
- Rest'Hôtel Brest, known in full as the Rest'Hôtel et Métiers de Bouche de Brest trade show, is the regional trade show for cafés, hotels and restaurants, the food trades, institutional catering and tourism professionals in the western tip of Brittany.
- Next edition: the 6th, on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February 2027, at Brest Expo - Parc de Penfeld, in the commune of Guilers, on the outskirts of Brest. Open from 9.30am to 7pm on both days.
- Organiser: Alliance Expo, a trade show organising company based in Creysse, in the Dordogne, which rolls out the Rest'Hôtel brand in several cities. No co-organiser.
- Biennial rhythm: the previous edition, the 5th, was held on 2 and 3 February 2025, at the same venue.
- The 2027 edition page shows, with no reference year or audit: around a hundred exhibitors, 5,000 m² of exhibition space, 1,500 visiting establishments and four competitions. For the 2023 edition, the organiser's 2025 registration pack announced more than 100 exhibitors, 5,000 m² of exhibition space and more than 1,200 visiting establishments: the exhibitor and floor-area counters have not changed since.
- Free entry, restricted to trade professionals on invitation or proof of profession. The badge request for 2027 was not yet open at the time of writing.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The show organises its offer into four areas: food and drink, equipment and machinery, fit-out and interior design, and technology and services. Its home page lists seven business sectors, including short supply chains, as well as institutional bodies and training.
In more detail, the Visit page describes suppliers of delicatessen goods, meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables, dairy and sweet products, drinks, wines and spirits, coffee and frozen goods, as well as products for bakers, pastry chefs, butchers, pork butchers and caterers. These are joined by manufacturers and distributors of kitchen, laboratory, bakery and bar equipment, of hygiene, packaging and linen products, vehicle sellers, interior fitters and decorators, tableware suppliers, and finally services: banking, insurance, accountancy, software and websites.
The organiser presents it as a local trade show: a regional event that lets suppliers be as close as possible to their customers, retain them and win new markets.
Notable exhibitors
No exhibitor list is published for 2027. The site keeps online, outside its menu, a list of the Brest exhibitors: it is the list for the 2025 edition, which the site menu linked to in early 2025 and whose entries are all tagged 2025 in the page code. It has 88 entries: more than thirty companies from Finistère, about twenty from the three other Breton départements, the rest from all over France.
It includes flour mills and milling companies, a distillery, an ice-cream maker, an oyster farmer and Breton producers, distributors of kitchen equipment and cash registers, and collective bodies such as UMIH 29, Interbev Bretagne and the Chambre d'agriculture Bretagne. These appearances do not confirm anything for 2027.
Visitor quality
The Visit page targets four families of establishments. CHR (cafés, hotels and restaurants): cafés, hotels, restaurants, brasseries, snacking outlets, pizzerias, crêperies, cafeterias, fast food. Food trades: butchers, pork butchers, fishmongers, caterers, bakers, pastry chefs, ice-cream makers, confectioners, chocolatiers, fruit and vegetable grocers. Local authorities and institutional catering: schools, colleges, lycées, retirement homes, hospitals, holiday centres. Tourism and leisure: campsites, gîtes, bed and breakfasts, leisure centres, tourist sites.
Entry is restricted to trade professionals, on presentation of an invitation or proof of profession. On the 2027 edition page, the organiser displays 1,500 visiting establishments, without specifying which edition this relates to or how they were counted; its 2025 registration pack announced more than 1,200 visiting establishments for the 2023 edition. These figures count establishments represented, not people, and no OJS audit is published. For the 2025 edition, the organiser told the press it had welcomed 2,500 trade visitors representing 1,250 establishments (Le Télégramme, 3 February 2025, unaudited figure given before the close of the second day). The catchment area shown includes more than 16,500 establishments.
Events & community
Competitions and conferences
No programme is published for 2027. The Programme page of the site, which is not linked from the current menu, only shows the show journal for the 2023 edition (PDF dated January 2023), which announced, under a conferences and activities heading on its producers' area page, four items on 5 and 6 February 2023: a menu on protein diversification during the competition, followed by items on sustainable and quality products in Brittany, on the Egalim and Climate and Resilience laws, and on purchasing and sourcing. For the February 2025 edition, the Competitions page, which is also absent from the current menu, still describes the four events:
- Institutional catering chefs, on Sunday morning: a dish prepared in 1 hour 30 minutes from set ingredients, judged on production method, presentation, flavours, creativity and waste optimisation.
- Best hot sandwich, on Sunday afternoon, open to bakers and snacking professionals in Brittany, to a set specification.
- The "concours de la meilleure Galette Bretonne" (the best Breton galette competition), on Monday morning: a galette made on site in 1 hour 30 minutes with regional products, with a quantified recipe for four people.
- The "concours du meilleur Burger Régional" (the best regional burger competition), on Monday afternoon, on the same principle of an on-site creation in 1 hour 30 minutes with regional products.
Entries were made through Alliance Expo. The 2027 events have not yet been announced.
Community & networks
Rest'Hôtel is a network of regional trade shows run by Alliance Expo, each with its own city, dates and figures. The "Salons 2026/2027" calendar on the network page lists six events, from October 2026 to October 2027: Rouen on 4 and 5 October 2026, Brest on 7 and 8 February 2027, La Teste-de-Buch on 8 and 9 March 2027, Tours on 14 and 15 March 2027, Caen on 4 and 5 October 2027 and Tarbes on 10 and 11 October 2027. Dijon, Rennes, Périgueux and Clermont-Ferrand are announced for 2028. None of these shows is co-located with the Brest one, and the organiser publishes no consolidated figure for the network.
Alliance Expo, a simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) set up in 2012, also organises public fairs in Bergerac, in the Grand Dax and in Périgueux. The show's website presents no institutional or media partner for the 2027 edition.
On site: what you need to know
The show is held at Brest Expo - Parc de Penfeld, route de Brest, in Guilers. The park is managed by Brest en vue, the semi-public company that operates the major facilities of Brest métropole; it advertises 13,000 m² of covered space and 3,000 parking spaces, and is ten minutes from the city centre.
The organiser's access map places the park to the west of Brest, on the road to Saint-Renan and Guilers, with arrival from Rennes via the N12 expressway and from Quimper and Nantes via the N165. In 2025, the venue announced free parking.
A venue page, updated in May 2026, describes a renovation of the ground floor of hall 2 and of the heart of the site linking the two halls, with no end date; it states that access and parking remain available during the works. According to Le Télégramme (1 October 2026), the patio between the two halls is due for delivery in April 2027, after the show.
2027 opening hours: 9.30am to 7pm on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February. Organiser contact: Alliance Expo, 05 53 45 72 12.

Preparing your visit
For exhibitors
- Request the 2027 exhibitor pack via the form on the website: no 2027 pack is online. The 2025 one is, and gives the order of magnitude: a semi-equipped stand charged at €85 to €165 per m² excl. VAT depending on surface area, plus a €280 registration fee.
- Plan a team for two full days, from 9.30am to 7pm, on a Sunday and a Monday.
- Work on your client file for the western tip of Brittany before the show: entry is by invitation or proof of profession, and the show primarily targets establishments in that area.
- Keep an eye on the Competitions page (outside the menu), not yet updated for 2027: in 2025, the four events relied on set ingredients or regional products.
For decision-making visitors
- Request your badge as soon as registration opens on the official website: entry is free but restricted to trade professionals.
- Come with a specific project, equipment, fit-out or a change of supplier: the show presents itself as the place to buy your products, meet your suppliers and discover new products.
- For teams working on Sunday, Monday offers the same opening hours.
CSR policy & initiatives
Neither the show's website nor Alliance Expo's publishes a CSR policy, a carbon footprint report or ISO 20121 certification: neither has a Commitments or Sustainable development section.
The show's content does touch on these subjects, however: short supply chains are among the business sectors displayed, and the 2025 institutional catering chefs' competition counted waste optimisation among its criteria. These are programme themes, not a commitment by the organiser.
The venue provides a better-documented framework. Brest en vue, which manages Brest Expo, is labelled "engagé RSE" by AFNOR at the progression level, has signed the Tomorrow charter for the climate with Brest métropole, and aims for carbon neutrality by 2050. The hall 2 renovation programme described by the venue in 2026 notably sets the objective of strengthening the building's technical and energy performance; it also plans to replace the lighting in the reception rooms and part of the espace 2000 with LED spotlights.

Trajectory analysis
The Brest show has found a stable format: two days, a Sunday and a Monday, in early February, at the Penfeld park, every two years since 2023. The 4th edition was held on 5 and 6 February 2023, the 5th on 2 and 3 February 2025, and the 6th is scheduled for 7 and 8 February 2027. For 2023, only announced orders of magnitude exist (more than 100 exhibitors, 5,000 m² and more than 1,200 visiting establishments, in the organiser's 2025 registration pack). For 2025, neither the show's website nor the venue's publishes results, but Le Télégramme reported on 3 February 2025, during the second day, that the organiser said it had welcomed 2,500 trade visitors representing 1,250 establishments, and 90 exhibitors; the organiser's own materials repeated the 2023 announcements (more than 100 exhibitors, 5,000 m²).
Alliance Expo is not new to professional trade shows at Penfeld. It organised Breizh Pro Expo there, a regional trade show for the food trades, hospitality, institutional catering and tourism: its first two editions date from 2014 and 2016, and the third was announced by L'Hôtellerie Restauration for 14 and 15 October 2018, already a Sunday and a Monday. No page read links Breizh Pro Expo to Rest'Hôtel Brest; the organiser, the venue and the target audience are, however, the same.
For a supplier, the show's appeal lies less in its size, around a hundred exhibitors displayed, a figure unchanged since 2023, than in its local roots: it is the only Breton date in the Rest'Hôtel calendar from October 2026 to October 2027: Rennes had scheduled its edition for 1 and 2 February 2026 and is announced for 2028 on the network page. No edition beyond 2027 is announced.
